What is Airless Spray?
Airless spray is a method of atomising paint without the use of compressed air. Paint is pumped under high pressure into an airless gun. It is then forced through a spray tip forming an even pattern. All surfaces not to be sprayed are protected by careful masking.
Why use it?
When a brush or roller is used, paint is moved physically over a surface. This is why you get an orange peel effect. With airless spray, paint is not being moved around so a thicker coat can be applied that is absolutely flat and even.
